What is your IGN?
DegreesofDaniel
How old are you?
I'm 26 years old.
Where are you from?
I reside in my own private domicile, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. And I will not be harassed... bitch.
How did you find out about this server?
After being a part of a few ghost town whitelist servers, I've been looking for an actually active server for awhile now. I found Realm via www.minecraft-server-list.com.
How mature would you say you are?
I'd like to think I'm a mature person but whenever I try and drink scotch like Don Draper on Mad Men, I realize how much of a child I am. In all seriousness, I'm mature enough to hold a job and contribute to society, but immature enough to make a dick statue on someone's lawn in Minecraft. Come on, guys. We've all done it... right?
Do you have much experience with small servers?
I've really only played on smaller servers. Every time I've tried playing on a large public server, there's always someone near spawn making it rain stacks of diamonds and bragging about how OP their donor rank is. So recently I've been a part of a few smaller survival servers that I've enjoyed, but like I said, aren't very active at all.
(Edit: Forgot this question apparently XD) What do you normally do when on a Minecraft server?
When starting off, I typically spend a lot of time exploring before even gathering resources. It's much easier than having to move a crap ton of items if I find a place I like that's thousands of blocks away. Once I find a nice area I want to build in, I begin the mining and caving and resource gathering. From that point, I focus on just building structures depending on my inspiration. I never really do anything super redstone heavy because I'm dumb and I don't understand how most of it works. On past servers, I've built a desert type Arabian town, a cabin mansion type build in a Mega Taiga, a giant tree around a friend's tree farm, and other stupid things like that. I'd love to do more collaborative work though.
What do you expect to get out of this server?
I'd just love to be part of an active community and meet some new Minecrafters who aren't all 13 year olds. Seriously, if I have to be judged by one more middle schooler for playing Minecraft in my mid twenties, I may just hang myself with my shoelaces.
What's the 9th rule of the server?
#BlameBoefis - Seriously. Fuck that guy, am I right?
What would you like to say about yourself?
Well, I'm Daniel, and I enjoy long philosophical conversations about walks on the beach. To pay the bills, I manage the frozen food section at a grocery store here in Albuquerque, and before you ask, the answer is no, I won't sell you meth. Unless you want me to.
In my free time, I dabble in photography, shoot music videos for local music artists, and make other YouTube shorts, most recently a really terrible and unfunny comedy web series. I also do a lot of screenwriting. I've made one (super low budget) short film which was a neo noir, , and I have other projects in the works though they're coming along painfully and slowly.
I'm also part of a podcast with a few friends called The Sinking Ship. It's on iTunes somewhere. We like to think we're funny.
I have a Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Lennon.
He's slightly retarded.
Other than that, I'd just have to say that I'm the type of person who needs a creative outlet. Most of what I do satisfies that need. If you have any other questions I will be more than happy to answer them!
