I have taken it upon myself to begin locking threads that are out of control or are created for the sole purpose of spam.
I encourage other Forum Admins to do so as well for the following reasons:

We have opened the white-list and are receiving lots of new forum members and applications so we should be mindful
Many of the new members don't even revisit the forums and I believe it's because we have created a spam breeding ground.
We don't have much good content floating around the forums. Lets increase quality of our posts and reduce quantity.

This post is in the Announcement Sub-Category which should only be used by forum admins and official posts.
