a few weeks ago Allstar had said something about locking spammy threads and said we should stop spamming. I look at the forum and people are still posting spam and threads are staying unlocked. We should really stop the spam. Also many threads have comments aren't even related to the thread.

Jman spam isn't really an issue if it is controlled and not excessive. At the time every thread was being spammed and it wasn't controlled. It a decreased dramatically since then. A small amount of spam can be healthy because it keeps the forums active and keeps people involved

I'm failing to see any spam on the forums at the moment, unless we're counting all attempts at humour as spam.

I haven't seen a spam problem recently jman. Some posts may be off topic but just a few weeks ago every thread was just spiraling out of control and the original topic was completely lost to other conversations. Now most threads are on topic to a degree, and the 'spam' is mostly joke posts- but still related. If the jokes get too crazy then we can tone those down but we are a small community, if we didn't have jokes then we'd just be a bunch of lame-o's.

well I understand we need joke posts but if a thread asks a serious question like "what do you think of ____" or "should we do ____" for example and the question isn't really answered its mostly just given non serious answers then thats not good in my opinion. Not all threads are like this but some are.

What are some examples? The Enderman block change is the only real suggestion on this forum in a while, and it only has 7 votes. As someone pointed out earlier, most accepted applicants end with 7 votes, so that is kind of a good indicator of how many of us are truly active on the forums.

Jman I think you're just trying to increase your posts. Your wrong cause I could care less about the amount of posts I post. I think you mean you couldn't care less. Being able to care less means you still care a little bit . This is a common misspeak. So is using the word irregardless, it is just regardless. Adding the ir creates a double negative and you're actually saying the opposite of what you mean.
