Alex, I think you should add a page so that anyone that want's to can donate to the cost's of the server. Hell maybe if you got enough people donating, you could upgrade the server so it's less laggy for everyone.

I feel like this could potentially be a very very bad idea depending on how it's handled.. I know when Chris joined he was all for helping the server, and he did so by hosting and paying for the Events server, but I feel like contributing to the main server could be a possible issue. We don't want applicants "donating" their way in (I was contacted by someone, who I won't name, via Skype after he sent his app in and, among other things he asked if he could donate to the server). Donations feel like a possible form of bribery to me, also like if someone starts drama they could use the ol "wowe i helped pay for the server how dare u b mean 3 mi" as a reason to try and fight a ban.
Of course these thoughts could just be a load of horseshit.. But, if we're going to start donating to help the server, I feel like it should be stated that a donation should JUST be a donation, and nothing more. Nobody should get special privileges for having money to spare, and nobody should feel guilty about not donating. In fact I feel like it should possibly be an entirely anonymous thing, but idk if that's possible with paypal, because I've never used paypal before.

I will never accept a donation. I don't need to or want people to donate. I can upgrade the server if need be, which I'm probably going to do.
Usually the server is not laggy. So I think that some people either have 1000 chickens at a chicken cooker (the one at spawn is fine) or there are loads of redstone contraptions. You have to remember that you guys are from the US, whilst the server is hosted in Germany. That contributes to lag on your part. You also have to note that this is a new map and people are still exploring and finding locations for their bases. That can create A LOT of lag.
Usually I'm the one with the terrible internet, but even then I don't get much lag that is from the server.

im against donation since it can cre8 lots of problems .. but if needed im more then willing to help with a server upgrade or pay up few months of the server rental fees. i cant use paypal (we dont have it in our country) but direct credit card or western union transfer i can do them anytime.

I feel like if we were to get donations it should be reserved for whitelisted members only and there should be some kind of new member thing that doesnt allow them to donate until after a certain amount of time. Maybe 2 weeks or a month.
Im one of the farthest away from the host and I don't get major lag. I got a ton the first day plsying but I was downloading a 6 gb update file so that probably limited my internet usage.
