So, I went on the server for the first time today.
No lagging, that's a big plus. I came into the spawn and decided right away to head out and find me some untouched land to build a house on and work from.
It was all going fine, I built my little shack, got me some food and a farm going, did some mining, acquired some iron. Pretty good.
Then i made the idiotic mistake of going outside at night to kill a nearby zombie. I was met by a horde of the undead, dressed in multicoloured armour.
They got into my house.
What followed was a mad few minutes of me spawning, jumping round trying to hit them, and dying again. This continued until the sun came up and i led them outside. i got back most of my stuff.
then a creeper happened.
It's needless to say that my first time playing minecraft on anything other than 'easy' was a short sharp shock.
and I've got some unsavory neighbours:
