To me this idea sounds like common sense. Why not make all investigations private/confidential. I mean make it so no member except Alex, the other mods, and the accused person know about the investigation of possible stealing, x-ray, other rule breaking, etc. Also the accused person should be contacted in some private way by a mod or Alex about the investigation and that they are being accused of x-ray, stealing, etc. then pardon that person for the remaining time of investigation. That accused person then will be contacted if they will be allowed back on or permanently banned. Once investigation is over if the accused person allows then information about the investigation could be put public.
I earlier had the thought what if person x saw the recent post about a ban. Also lets say person x is the stealer. What if person y was accused of stealing. Say there was not enough evidence saying person y could be the stealer but enough to not disprove person y as being the stealer. Couldn't person x, if they were smart enough, stop stealing during the investigation then continue once the investigation is over and person y is permanently banned?
