Not sure if you've thought about how you're going to handle this but you could keep the front page news and then have player submitted articles on the next pages. I'll probably submit a few. Is there any template for submitting articles? I'm assuming you'd want a heading, body and maybe a pic I have a 2nd page template planned out, but since the paper is just starting out, I'm focused on headlines until I receive more article submissions. I was thinking a second page would be good for the miscellaneous things like comics, trade requests, tourism, and non-news related articles sent in to the paper. Now- if it is a newsworthy article I may put it on the front page because reporting news on the server is the top priority, but as Lady has seen, your exact story may not show up, but the general message will be the same. THis is due to space constraints, so if a submitted article is too lengthy I may need to paraphrase the overall message. This is how I would like to run it. I can only create so many stories before it becomes linear. I need to cover all of your stories, send me screenshots and stories and I'll review them and fit them into an article. |
