Yeah, basic spawner farms aren't that much of an issue unless someone AFKs at one for hours.

Not sure if the command to set how long someone can afk is still in the game but we could try that. I don't exactly know how it works but basically if you don't move for however long the time is set for it will kick the player. Might be an option. The market idea could be nice. Say x person sells steak. Instead of saying something like I want 8 feathers for one steak we could say one steak is worth 8 feathers or 3 bones or 1 pork-chop etc. so however many items are being sold, lets say 8 for example, there will be 7 prices for steak. Ill try to explain better. Say Alex is selling wool and 7 other items are being sold there will be an amount of wool Alex can pay to get one of said 7 items, a different wool amount for a different item, etc. Then the same for all other items. So whatever one person is selling can be used to purchase any of the other items being sold. Gets more complex as more items are introduced. I think I thought of an easy way to implement my idea. assign each item a value. lets say steak is value 1 feathers is value 2. I think I figured out an equation we could use. if there are problems with equation can smart people help fix it. So its x(1/[n+1])=y where x is number of items desired and n is number of spaces away from your item and y is how much you have to pay. so if I want 64 feathers with the steak being a value 1 and feathers being a value of 2 then 64(1/[1+1])=32 This only works if your item is worth more than the item you want. Ill have to adjust some things to make it work the other way. The other equation is x(n+1)=y So if I want 64 steak and have feathers I'll use 64(1+1)=128(or 2 stacks)I apologize for the math but it would be necessary for my idea to work.
The single easiest way to prevent some lag (can't say all lag) is don't build farms in always loaded chunks(spawn). I also had a theory that possibly, idk how, but some chunks might continue to load because of some kind of chunk loader.
Guess nabs, future, and I have to leave Realm since alex said "if you're the kind of player to build loads of farms and nothing else, then this server is not for you."

Uh oh I made it so that if you're afk for 100 minutes you will be kicked. That should be enough time for most players unless they're afk overnight. We'll see how it goes I guess. The server now restarts every 12 hours. Also #Copyand pastapaste

Do we need an automatic chicken farm at spawn so everyone has food? If so I'll gladly build the latest and greatest so we can all enjoy a seemingly endless supply of food.
My rule of thumb has always been no more than 8 of an animal are needed (the 2 exceptions I have are wool for multi-colored, and chickens inside an automatic chicken cooker). Just my thoughts I could totally be full of creeper poop.

The kfc at 5 mob farm should be used instead cause the one at spawn is always loaded and therefore causes more lag.
